I recently worked on a series of food and kitchen related illustrations for the branding of a catering company. I love the old pyrex bowls with the farmers on them. Remember those? I definitely want to make some fun patterns with this work.

Tin House is an amazing literary magazine and publishing house in Portland and New York. This is a very rough cover concept for the Portland/Brooklyn issue that explores the links of the two cities, in literature and culture. So many people move between the two cities I think I am going to have to turn this into a card or postcard.

This map of Brussels took a long time, I think because I have such love for the city. The buildings, the art, the festivals, the food! I blame Brussels for my chocolate addiction. Prints are for sale (size is 11.5x15.5", ink jet, printed on archival paper). Feel free to contact me directly, or through my Etsy shop.

I am still working on an illustrated map of Brussels. One thing I remember fondly from living there as a child were the carnivals, which often took place around a religious holiday. They were magical! People in masks and costumes, some creepy, some funny, some beautiful. The carnival in Stavelot occurs on the 4th Sunday of Lent. Local men clad in white and masked with long red noses parade through town throwing confetti and beating bystanders with dried pig bladders.
